What Does Feng Shui Mean to Me?
I’d like to start with a story that has always stayed with me, one that many of you might already know: a Chinese master sitting by a riverbank, watching the water flow and find its own path. He felt the wind and noticed how it never stops—it is always present, constantly moving. Based on that story, a fundamental question was born: How can we bring this natural flow of energy into our homes? That is where Feng Shui comes from.
So, what is Feng Shui to me? I won't dive into technicalities right now, but I would describe it as something that brings clarity. What do I mean by that? Imagine a place filled with noise—both visual and auditory—where your mind simply cannot rest. That is where Feng Shui steps in and flips the switch to off. That is where change happens, making room for focus and quiet. Often, a sense of solitude arrives too, but in a deeply positive way; in that stillness, you truly find yourself—not just who you are today, but all the versions of yourself across time. And through that peace, you finally find the answers to the questions that have been sitting in your mind.
In the end, that is what Feng Shui does: it clears the path, or creates one where there wasn't any, so you can keep walking and find the right door. That door will lead you to new connections, deeper knowledge, and the people who will help you reach what you truly desire. But at its core, it is an internal process. When you start looking into Feng Shui, it's because something inside you has already begun to shift.
The Myth of the Absolute Truth
No one holds the absolute truth in their hands. If we look closely, every school of Feng Shui has its own methods and principles, and clearly, they work—they have thousands of followers and countless testimonials proving their results.
I would never claim that my way is the only way. For me, the one non-negotiable principle—something I would never change—is using a compass to pinpoint the exact cardinal directions. That is essential. But beyond that, I am only here to share what has worked for me, because at the end of the day, Feng Shui is deeply personal and about what truly resonates with you.
It’s just like buying an audiobook: you always have to see if the narrator's voice connects with you. If that voice doesn't align with your frequency, no matter how much you listen, you won't be able to process or absorb the message.
Sensing the Space
What am I looking for when I step into a home? I look to sense the space through intuition. It's about observing what is happening, but so much of it comes down to intuition and how the space feels. And this isn't rocket science—we all know what it feels like to walk into a room and instantly feel comfortable, or completely out of place.
Evolving to Live More Beautifully
Each of us tells a story based on our own experiences, and every single one is valid. That is why, above all, we must honor and respect Feng Shui. Today, there are masters who draw from neuroscience, environmental psychology, and color psychology. I am certain that if the master sitting by that river were here with us today, he wouldn't argue with any of these tools.
Why? Because it is scientifically proven that these methods help people, and anything we can do to support human well-being is 100% valid. It’s simply about integrating, evolving, and finding ways to live more beautifully.
